TGW International manufactures replacement machine knives in various materials to meet and/or exceed OEM specifications. Upgrading the base material, along with applying a wear coating will increase the life of the blade, resulting in less equipment downtime!

Our standard material options include:

  • M2, M42 High Speed Steel (61-66 Rc)
  • Stainless Steel- various grades (40-58 Rc)
  • Powdered Metal tool steels (60-64 Rc)
  • Tungsten Carbide (75-80 Rc)

Depending on your application and what you are cutting, our team can work with you to recommend the right material and wear coating to keep your machines running, and provide consistent cut quality for your overall budget. TGW uses Rockwell C (HRC) scale to measure the material hardness. Depending on the application and material being cut, the material attributes will vary.
